In 2021, Shimano is getting serious about updating its mid-range and low-end front drag reels. Following Ultegra FC, the Nasci FC 2021 series of coils was released, which had been updated almost five years ago, with the Nasci FB 2016 series of coils. The new Nasci FC received not only an awesome design, but also several breakthrough technologies for this series.
The new design has received completely different color schemes, and the body, rotor, spool and handle have also taken on some new shapes. The continuity of the series is certainly visible in the details, but the new Nasci FC looks completely different.
The updated Nasci FC is now more in line with the modern trends of Shimano's more expensive series of reels, partially adopting some design decisions from its older brothers.
Also, the new design of the Nasci FC front friction reel was influenced by the release of the spinning series of the same name. Now Shimano offers not to rack their brains and get a ready-made spinning kit right away for those for whom this issue is an edge.
